Angling and fly-fishing for pike, bait-fishing for pike and zander, vertical jigging for zander and perch have been the most practiced techniques in the latest years. He is also experienced in trolling after salmon and seatrout.

Safety of the trip is guaranteed by the seafaring education and working experience: Mikael has a Master Mariner degree and he has worked years as a deck officer in the merchant fleet and as a VTS-operator in the Finnish Transport Agency.

Fishing guide Mikko Ellmén

Our second fishing guide Mikko Ellmén is familiar with most game fishes of the finnish archipelago but specializes in big pikes. Mikko also spends a lot of time up north, fishing for large atlantic salmon of the Tana-river both for himself and for scientific research. He has just finished his own masters thesis on salmon and will shortly graduate as a biologist from the university of Turku. Mikko masters a wide variety of fishing methods from passive traps to fly lines and modern sportfishing such as vertical jigging. He is also an expert in tying flyes for pike and atlantic salmon.
